1 Day (approximately 6.5 hours)/Classroom Programme Synopsis
EEC members will acquire knowledge and skills to contribute positively to the Client’s employment equity programme in an informed and skilled way.
Training Outcomes
At the end of the course, EEC members will have a shared understanding of:
· The statutory framework established by the Employment Equity Act (1998)
· The Client’s employment equity policies, plans, and philosophies
· The EEC structure
· The function, roles and responsibilities of the assigned senior manager, line managers, human resources people, EEC committee members.
EEC members will understand important dynamics of workplace participation and conflict, and
· Have skills to productively manage conflict;
· Have skills to consult / negotiate efficiently;
· Be able to apply conflict resolution processes
Participants
Managers, shop stewards and all members of the employment equity committee should attend.
